Lumina® is a high-intensity effect pigment based on natural mica. Through optimization, it can provide the best chromaticity, purity and brightness, and all key performance indicators surpass other similar products in the market. In addition to imparting high concentrations of brilliant color to standard and high-end products, this pigment is fortified with a chrome-free surface treatment (CFS) for the longest lasting effect.

Lumina® Royal effect pigments are a new generation of effect pigments offering excellent chroma and reflectance. These pigments exhibit strong interference colors due to their narrow particle size distribution, optimized particle shape and manufactured using new surface modification techniques.

When used as the main effect pigment, Lumina® Royal can achieve extreme effects and provide excellent chroma that cannot be achieved by other colors. Lumina® Royal uses BASF's chrome-free surface treatment (CFS), which makes the product more durable and stable. The moisture resistance can be improved by CFS technology, and the adhesion in water-based coatings and stone resistance in solvent-based coatings can be improved.
