Mearlin® Pearlescent Pigments
1. Mearlin® pearlescent pigments are mica platelets coated with titanium dioxide and/or iron oxide that provide both color and exciting visual effects to a variety of coatings, plastics and printing ink applications.
2. Mearlin® pearlescent pigments have smooth surfaces and high refractive index. The product with small particle size has a satin finish, while the product with larger particle size creates a shimmering effect. Mearlin® pearlescent pigments are available in a variety of colors and can impart a metallic look even though they are non-metallic.
3. Strengthened by chrome-free surface treatment (CFS), Mearlin® pearlescent pigments can improve weather resistance, which makes them very suitable for outdoor applications such as automotive coatings.
